Presence is imperative, be it virtual or physical. Running a business if not entirely, primarily depends on how accessible you are to your consumers. The need of customer satisfaction has grown tremendously over the years which further confirmed how critical accessibility is. That does not imply or anyway lessen down the significance of high quality products and services whichever industry your business belongs to.

Let us accept this fact for once and ever. It is impossible for any business or individual to be physically present on every location. Ubiquity is not a practical entity. This emphasizes the need for virtual presence and facilitating the same to everyone’s comfort are free phone numbers or Toll-free numbers or more widely recognized 800 numbers.

Each one of us must have called once or more than that through these toll-free numbers. More often than not to customer support or technical support of various products and services. Calling through these numbers does not cost us a penny. That’s why they are called toll-free numbers. But the companies to which you would call through their free phone numbers pay the cost of these calls to toll-free service providers.

Toll-free number providers have proved to be an ally in running a successful business as they help the companies form an efficient medium for customer feedbacks, suggestions and contacts which are the bottom-lines of managing a large consumer base. How does it work is not as simple as we bring it into application. Albeit, it could be understood simply on the lines of call divert functionality of mobile phones.

Free phone number providers give these businesses an 800 number which when dialed reaches a phone number provided by them through these service provider’s channel and hence communication is established. These providers charge their clients on an industry standard format. The most common example thriving on the concept of free phone numbers are call centers and BPOs.

Anyone who has carried a cellphone would know the costs when calling someone within the same network in the area, as well as calling someone who is outside of it or even roaming options. One could only imagine how much it’d cost after a month of using it.

When it comes to VoIP number portability, the only restrictions would sometimes be the weight. Since a computer is required to gain access to a VoIP connection, they would either visit a place with WiFi, or just connect to a local area network in any hotel. The number used would be either the user name or a specific number that can be called wherever they are in the world without having to include area codes.

Another way to determine VoIP number portability is the WiFi phones in the market today. These phones can also get access to a WiFi hotspot in order to send and receive calls instead of using their subscriber or GSM signals, thus even lowering the costs.

For most traveling businessmen and executives, VoIP number portability the tool that would help in increasing productivity as an open line of communication is within reach. Even the average tourist can benefit having to call home once they are within reach of a WiFi hotspot or if staying in a hotel that offers internet access. As the world slowly increases its need and desire to add more wireless access routes, it may slowly but surely replace GSM signals in the near future.

VoIP is a kind of phone service over high-speed Internet connection. One can have access to this technology through two services, one is phone based and another is computer based. By phone-based technology, you can use your regular phone with the help of ATA, or use your computer with microphone. Through this service, call is sent over the Internet instead of over copper wires. Initially, this technology was free now gone are such days however, some companies like Skype, level three, www.pulver.com, Gee-fon, Packet8, etc. do provide free VoIP services. These companies are offering such free access, since there is no phone company or long distance provider involved; there are no monthly fees and long distance toll charges. Nevertheless, if you want free VOIP service, you are required to have a broadband Internet connection, and for this, you have to pay. One of these free VoIP software packages, you can place PC-to-PC calls across the Internet.

In order to make PC-to-Phone calls, you have to install a VoIP gateway. Then you need to fasten your VoIP gateway up to the Public Switched Telephone Network and for that you will have to pay the telephone company. If you acquire a VoIP phone, you can use a normal-looking phone to place PC-to-PC and PC-to-Phone calls. This is often more convenient than using your PC to place phone calls. Free VoIP services allow you to make a PC-to-PC call to another user using a headphone and a microphone. You just have to download the free software found on these websites. Once downloaded, all you need to do is just register yourself and you can enjoy free services. With the net phone service you can create a free phone line based from your home or work number. This let you to enjoy roam free VoIP service from anywhere, till you have an internet connection.

However, there is a restriction that both the user should have software downloaded from a same company. Another restriction is that you can call only to the members of other free VOIP services while paying subscribers can call anyone with a telephone, whether it is connected to the Internet or not. Moreover, you cannot make call into the public telephone network, similarly those on a public network cannot call you. This is because someone has to pay the infrastructure to tie the Internet to the telephone system and has to pay for the call time used on the telephone system. Some free VOIP service providers now offer customers the opportunity to call anyone, whether members of the service or not with lower rates than conventional long-distance providers.

However whole transaction is not as free as it seems since you have to invest in a microphone that is specially equipped with an analog-to-digital converter called ATA, and a USB connector, also you have to pay for you internet connection.

Studies have indicated that a large number of the British population consider their mobile phones to be more important than having life insurance.

It appears as though the technological security provided by a mobile phone is deemed a more valid protection policy than the services provided by insurance companies, such as Norwich Union and Bupa. In the current society, people seem to live in the here and now, not thinking much of what tomorrow holds. In addition, the 21st century champions technological advancements and material possession far more highly than the basic necessities of day-to-day life. People have come to depend on their personal technologies, the most common of which is the mobile phone, and it is the cost of running such a service which they see as being more profitable than paying out money for a policy which they may only require once they are no longer alive.

Children are given mobile phones in case of emergency, mobile phone numbers are rung if something happens and the number of the emergency services is of course free from mobile phones. In this way, people view their mobile as a constant source of life insurance, as it provides them with the ability to be in contact with anyone at any time. Life and pensions company Friend Provident, discovered that 54% of people questioned in its Protection Survey did not have life insurance. Almost seven in ten of the 46% of respondents who did have a life insurance policy, said they would seek professional advice on finding the best cover from either a financial advisor or through media resources or by searching through price comparison websites online.

People’s priorities appear to be very different now than they used to be, before the advent of mobile telephones and the internet. By living in a fast-paced, ever-moving and increasingly changeable environment, people are forgetting about making plans for the future and for future generations. They get caught up in the whirlwind of work, school and travel and often lose sight of the most significant aspects of life, such as life insurance. Some participants of the survey went so far as to say that the only way life insurance would win out over their mobile phones would be if the cover on offer were free.

People are prepared to pay out hundreds of pounds on the latest model of phone and monthly bills and line rental, and yet when it comes to their own life, they become flippant and ambivalent. Mark Jones, protection products and actuarial manager at Friends Provident, comments: “Understandably, none of us really want to think about our own mortality, but we do owe it our families to ensure that we have made provision, be it to pay off the mortgage or provide a lump cash sum.” Essentially, people must be aware that while a mobile phone serves a purpose in the present it will not magically transform into a nest egg with which to pay medical bills or provide a comfortable future for our children.

An important part of wisely using free on line dating sites is learning how to protect your privacy. Even though you are meeting potential romantic partners, you don’t have to divulge all of your personal information. In fact, you could be putting yourself at great risk if you don’t take at least some precautions when it comes to your privacy.

Keep Your Identity to Yourself

You might want to think of your privacy protection efforts as being comparable to a superhero who can’t let everyone know his or her real identity because all of the villains would know who to go after. While you don’t have to worry about genetically mutated evil doers (hopefully), you do have to be on the lookout for some problematic folks. Just like everywhere else on the Internet, you’ll find some scam artists who will use these free on line dating sites as a source of potential marks.

The bottom line is you shouldn’t reveal too much about yourself and that means even your name. Go by your screen name only for awhile. Once you get to know each other a little bit, you can start using first names but guard your last name until you are absolutely sure this is a person you can trust.

Be Careful About the Photos

While you might think you only have to worry about revealing your secrets via your profile, that’s not the case. Sometimes what we allow to be included in the photos we post can be more telling than anything we say. For example, you might include a photo taken at a nearby attraction or one with someone wearing a foot ball jersey for the local team. Some photographs might even include license plates which could give away your location.

Now you might be wondering why it matters, especially if you eventually plan to meet anyway and there is a good reason. While most of the people you meet through free on line dating sites are going to be great, a small portion may not be and these people could use that information to track you down. They could become stalkers, scammers, or even worse. That’s why you have to take precautions. Preventing the problem is going to be a lot easier than fixing it.

Do Not Give Out Personal Contact Information

Even if you’ve met someone through one of the free on line dating services, you still want to be careful about revealing too much information about yourself. Most of the services provide several communication methods that will help you keep your identity safe. However, you can also set up a separate email account through a general service, such as Google or Yahoo. You could also use a long distance calling card to phone the person because these cards mask your number and your location. You should also avoid giving out any contact information about your loved ones as well, especially your children. Remember that the more snippets you provide on the free on line dating site, the easier it will be for them to be pieced back together by someone with bad intentions.

As the nation grows more diverse, companies now need to cater to all walks of life if they want to remain in competition and stay in business. The smallest and the largest companies need to make communicating easy to entice people to call.

One issue that is increasingly apparent in the business world is a company’s ability to communicate with people that speak different languages, especially English and Spanish. Often a company will hire additional staff to serve as translators for incoming callers. A company will designate specific phone extensions to handle Spanish-speaking customers. Calls can be routed directly to a certain extension once the caller announces or “presses two” for Spanish.

A great way for companies to reach out to different language speakers is to dedicate an entire toll free phone line for those who speak different languages. As a company, you can provide additional resources for customers who may face language barriers with other companies. Instituting a toll free number to assist these customers is now more affordable than ever, making communication not only more efficient but enables the company to portray themselves as a customer service oriented environment.

Using different toll-free phone numbers in regional advertising, can be very effective and informative. Your company can track marketing efforts for the non-English speaking phone lines as well as the other general toll free lines used by the company. Tracking the real-time number of calls, such as when they came in and how many, against your marketing efforts can also help you to save money by eliminating what is not working and increase the efforts of what is working.

If your company is now looking to attract a wider audience and expand to a national level, a toll free number is certainly one of the first steps on the path to growth. By switching over to a toll free phone number you can instantly build credibility, increase efficiency, and increase your potential market for customers for a low price with no need for upgrades. Plus the additional lines for speakers of other languages may help you attract customers otherwise alienated by other companies because of speech barriers.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE WHEN ORDERING NEW BUSINESS PHONE LINES?

Many Business Phone customers want to order new lines and are looking for information on what they need and how long it takes to get new phone lines installed. There is a guide on installing Australian Business Phone lines here.

Most Small Business in Australia run with PSTN Business Phone Lines. These are the same type of lines that are installed in residential applications. Another Term for this type of Telephone line is POTs or Plain Old Telephone service. The other types of Lines available are ISDN 2 and ISDN 10/20/30 Phone lines.

When ordering PSTN business phone lines services there are 3 basic types of charge levels in Australia. An in Place Line is an existing but disconnected Business Phone service that just requires reactivating at the exchange and this is the cheapest connection type. The next level of Business telephone connection is an In Place Line that requires a Technician Visit. This means Telstra reactivate the line at the exchange but for some reason the service requires a site visit. The third type is a New Business Phone Line Connection, which is an entirely new Telephone line.

Line Hunt allows Business Phone lines to hunt from one to the other when busy or unanswered and can be added to 2 or more PSTN Business Telephone Lines.   Connection time frames vary, but an In Place line will usually be 2-5 working days while and new Business Phone Line will typically take 3-10 working days in Metro areas. For new Business Telephone Lines in Regional areas usual add 1-2 days on these times and remote can add another 5-10 working days. Costs to install PTSN Business Phone lines are between $90 & $400 per line or can be free on 24 Month agreements.

ISDN 2 Business Phone lines come in pairs of 2 lines and can be added to in groups of 2 lines at a Time. ISDN 2 Telephone Line are digital lines, that when combined with a business PABX Phone system, provide greater functionality. Digital Phone lines also provide better voice quality than PSTN. Line Hunt can be added to ISDN 2 Phone lines but requires at least 2 X ISDN 2 services to function.

ISDN 2 normally takes 15 working days to install. Cost to install ISDN 2 is between $300 & $360 per ISDN 2 service, or can be free on 24-month agreements. More Detail on ISDN 2 Business Phone Lines is here.

ISDN 10/20/30 is the larger Primary rate ISDN service that allows for 10, 20, or 30 Business Phone lines at a time. Larger companies that require 10 or more simultaneous calls taking place usually use ISDN 10/20/30 Phone lines.

Installation of ISDN 10/20/30 telephone lines can take 20-40 days with Powertel or 40-60 days with Telstra, as there is a comprehensive amount of work required to install these Business Phone Services. Detail on ISDN 10/20/30 Phone line installations is here.  Cost to install ISDN 10 start at around $1200 and go up to $3500 for ISDN 30. Free connections are available on ISDN Business Phone lines on 24 & 48 Month agreements.

VoIP, which stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, is a service that allows people to make telephone calls over the Internet. In order to use VoIP, a person will need a VoIP service along with some type of input device to record their voice. This can be a microphone or something more sophisticated such as a VoIP-designed telephone. Indeed, VoIP is quite an impressive technology, but how does it compare specifically against the traditional telephone? This article will examine that question by evaluating the three main differences between VoIP and traditional phones. These differences are: cost, voice quality and the ability to make emergency phone calls.

One of the biggest differences between VoIP and traditional telephone service is in the area of cost, as VoIP tends to be cheaper. However, this will largely depend on the type of VoIP service a person decides to use. For example, there are quite a few VoIP services that are free, but the quality is awful. Then there are those like Skype where users can have access to VoIP for a nominal yearly subscription fee. Alternatively, there are VoIP services like Yahoo Phone, which work on a prepaid basis. However, in all of these scenarios, the issue of long distance is the same… it is either free or significantly cheaper than what would get with a traditional telephone. This is the case whether the calls are done nationwide or internationally.

The next difference between VoIP and the traditional telephone line is in regards to voice quality. Most land line telephone services will always have excellent quality. This is not the case with VoIP, which has good quality sometimes. In fact even premium VoIP services tend to not do as well as a regular telephone. Of course, there are ways to try to improve VoIP quality. For instance, having a DSL connection significantly helps with VoIP reception. Also, it helps to try to not overload one’s Internet connection with a lot of downloads, since this frees up more bandwidth for a VoIP service. Yet, doing these things will only make the voice quality so good with VoIP.

The last difference between VoIP and traditional telephones is when it comes to emergency phone calling. Most VoIP services whether free or paid do not have the capacity to allow for 911 calls. Conversely, the regular phone line does. It is for this reason that even if VoIP works perfectly most of the time, a person will still need a regular phone line.

In conclusion, the three main differences between VoIP and normal telephones are cost, voice quality and whether or not a person can make emergency calls. Both obviously have their advantages and disadvantages, though VoIP is not enough by itself to meet a person’s complete telephone needs. Yet, if a person wants to make a lot of long distance calls, especially international ones, the regular telephone bill would just be too expensive. So, all in all, while VoIP cannot currently replace a traditional phone line, it does make for a nice complement to it.
